Many people are concerned about the Measles with the current outbreak in our state (Washington). These people fear the Measles, but they don’t fear the vaccines. How backwards is this? The risks of vaccines are far worse than having the Measles. The Measles, which includes the usual common cold symptoms, is rarely fatal. In fact, the Measles isn’t treatable; it’s “treated” like a common cold. Doctors advise patients stay hydrated, rest, and take over the counter medication to manage symptoms. No miracle drugs, no antibiotics, nothing. These minor symptoms of the Measles are nothing in comparison to the side effects of vaccines.
Some of the main side effects of all vaccines are allergic reactions (this includes fevers, rashes, etc.), bowel blockages, seizures, comas, learning disabilities, permanent brain damage, and worse, death (ProCon, n.d.). According to the Center for Disease Control (n.d.), “measles cases can range from roughly less than 100 to a couple hundred”. Because of the multiple types of reactions, syndromes and symptoms vaccines can cause, doctors can’t put a number on how many people and children are effected. Every day children are experiencing side effects of vaccines. Something their parents, if educated, could have prevented. A popular YouTube mother- with over 1.5 million subscribers- posted a YouTube video about her son’s reaction. This video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_HaB1mrhnY. Her video is one of many that represent the traumatic side effects of vaccines.
The government claims that vaccines are safe and FDA approved. However, the government and pharmaceutical companies are getting compensated for each vaccine tested and injected. “In 2011, the US Federal government awarded 6 pharmaceutical corporations over 5.7 Billion to manufacture children’s vaccines alone.” (Aufderheide, 2012). It’s not about people’s health and safety to the pharmaceutical company, it’s about their money. And why would we trust the money-hungry government to look out for our children? We can’t! They’re looking to line their pockets too.
Imagine injecting harmful chemicals into your young child. The doctor assures you it’s safe and will more than likely prevent them from getting said disease (like I’ll be coming in to contact with Polio soon, right…). You child is stuck with the needle, they cry. Maybe you had to hold them down. It’s traumatic. You leave the doctor’s office and head home for a peaceful afternoon. Hopefully it’s no more than a fever or rash that your child has to endure later. Imagine your surprise when the child ends up with Varicella or the Measles anyway. They got every vaccine. I thought my child was protected? No, not fully. See, vaccines aren’t 100% effective. One can still get the illness even with the vaccine. After all this, why would you continue to vaccinate?
It is your responsibility to educate yourself about the harmful side effects of vaccines. It is your responsibility as a parent to protect your children when their pediatrician is ready to come at them with a needle full of harmful chemicals. It is your responsibility to keep your children safe- emotionally, mentally and physically. Don’t vaccinate your children. The risk of a vaccines do not outweigh the “benefit” the government and pharmaceutical companies claim. Serious and deadly diseases are eradicated and are unlikely to return. Getting a vaccine for these, like Polio, is useless. The risk of death (from the vaccine) is not worth it to protect yourself from this eradicated disease. The diseases that are around, like the Measles is minor in nature, and rarely causes death. Think twice before you vaccinate.
*Please note, this article does not reflect my beliefs, nor is it meant to offend anyone. This article/poster (both of which I created) was highly dramatized. In addition, I had fun playing the “devil’s advocate” on this topic. Vaccines are a hot topic nowadays, and can be very personal. For me, I will vaccinate my children, and I will continue to remain an immunized adult. I believe in- and trust- modern medicine, and that includes vaccines. However, like in any instance, I encourage everyone to do their own research.
